Catalogue Essay
Audemars Piguet vintage watches are widely recognized by collectors as rare and remarkable timepieces which stand out by their unique but classic designs, and highly sought-after movements.
The present example features the ultra-thin caliber 2003 with a record breaking thickness of only 1.64 mm. Calibre 2003 was introduced in 1953 as a replacement of 9’’’ML.
Another very appealing element of the present watch is its very original and unpolished overall condition; the case shows hardly any sign of wear and still retains very crisp numbers stamped on the back, the engine-turning on the bezel does not show any sign of polishing and is still very sharp.
The highly elegant and sophisticated look renders this watch timeless.
