Good To Know:

- Third generation of the 1815 flyback chronograph
- First model to have the combo of white metal case and black dial since the Datograph
- Accompanied with full set of accessories

The 1815 chronograph debuted in 2004 and was available in an attractive combination of a white gold case paired with argenté dial and blued steel hands with the ref 401.026, as well as a pink gold version with matching pink gold hands on black dial with ref, 401.031.

The collection had an evolution of a total of three generation with design nuances that sets them apart. The present is part of the third and last generation released in 2015, reminiscent of the very first design, A. Lange & Söhne brought back the signature pulsometer scale, this time with larger register and bolder typography. Powered by the upgraded calibre L951.5, that power reserve is enhanced up to 60 hours of activities from a full wound, and a flyback mechanism that allows the hands to reset at zero for new measurements. Sized at 39.5mm in diameter, the present ref. 414.028 is cased in white gold and paired with an elegant black dial. Notably this reference is the first 1815 chronograph model to be blessed with a white metal and black dial combo after the infamous Datograph.

Perfection with a personality and incredible charisma, the present timepiece is offered with the full set of accessories, and preserved in excellent overall condition. A perfect additional for a purist collection, this monochromatic chronograph is a must have especially from the rising demand on A. Lange & Söhne timepieces.

German | 1845

Originally founded in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte, Dresden, Germany, the firm established an entire watchmaking culture and industry in Glashütte. The brand quickly became Germany's finest watchmaker, first creating dependable, easy-to-repair watches before going on to produce some of the world's finest complicated pocket watches, including Grande Sonnerie watches, tourbillon watches and Grande Complications.

On the final day of World War II, their factories were destroyed by Russian bombers, and in 1948 the brand was confiscated by the Soviet Union. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, Ferdinand's great grandson Walter Lange re-established the brand with the objective to once again produce top-quality luxury watches. Now part of the Richemont Group, its original vintage and modern creations are highly coveted by collectors. Key models from the modern era include the Lange 1, Pour Le Mérite Tourbillon and the Zeitwerk.
