Good To Know:

- Introduced in 2018 with the Copper-Blue dial
- Complete with its full set of accessories
- Offered by the original owner

The present Saxonia Thin introduced in 2018 features an outstanding dial that will impress watch lovers. Sparkling like a dark blue night sky, the Saxonia Thin is fitted with a solid silver dial coated with a thin layer of gold stone, also known as Aventurine glass with microscopic copper oxide crystal layered in the coating hence the name Copper-Blue. Labour intensive in the making, the Copper-blue technique dates back to the 17th century invented in Venice by the Miotti family. Combing silica and copper oxide, the mixture then goes through a heating and cooling process to get the perfect crystallization to achieve its stunning result.

Measuring at 39mm cased in white gold, the ultra-thin timepiece wears with incredible comfort and elegance on the wrist. With a profile that is merely 6.2mm thin thanks to the manual wound movement L093.1 measuring at only 2.9mm in height, the compacted mainspring barrel promises 72 hours of power reserve and is decorated with the brand’s signature balance cock and Geneva stripes on the top side of the three-quarter plate. Timeless in aesthetics, the present Copper Blue Saxonia Thin glittering with subtlety is preserved in excellent condition and is accompanied with its full set of accessories.

A. Lange & Söhne

German | 1845

Originally founded in 1845 by Ferdinand Adolph Lange in Glashütte, Dresden, Germany, the firm established an entire watchmaking culture and industry in Glashütte. The brand quickly became Germany's finest watchmaker, first creating dependable, easy-to-repair watches before going on to produce some of the world's finest complicated pocket watches, including Grande Sonnerie watches, tourbillon watches and Grande Complications.

On the final day of World War II, their factories were destroyed by Russian bombers, and in 1948 the brand was confiscated by the Soviet Union. Following the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1990, Ferdinand's great grandson Walter Lange re-established the brand with the objective to once again produce top-quality luxury watches. Now part of the Richemont Group, its original vintage and modern creations are highly coveted by collectors. Key models from the modern era include the Lange 1, Pour Le Mérite Tourbillon and the Zeitwerk.
