Catalogue Essay
Jan De Vylder, Inge Vinck, and Jo Taillieu made up the firm architecten de vylder Vvnck taillieu and were renowned for their approach to architecture which first seems banal and then, for those who take a longer look, knowingly idiosyncratic. In “Kamer Frank,” the architects carried this approach into their furniture design, rejecting an affinity for any style or idealized form and, instead, allowing the user to create their own surroundings by rearranging the various colors and sizes of the boards to create new abstractions.
