A celebration of the brand’s 250th anniversary and a symbol of the Arnold & Son’s technical prowess, the DSTB is a testament of heritage, vision and ingenuity. Debuted in 2014 as part of the Instrument Collection featuring an in house-movement, the DSTB stands for Dial Side True Beat that is a salute to the timing instruments produced by John Arnold during his career.
Cased in the warmth of 18K pink gold in contrast with a dial plate in NAC grey treated with graceful and large circular finishing, the true beat seconds automatic movement is fully showcased on the dial side. Featuring the lever, wheels and three pink gold treated bridges, the level is cleverly shaped like an anchor to pay homage to the brand’s maritime heritage and not to mention its brand logo. The hour and minutes are marked by blue-steeled hands that hovers over the white lacquered domed subdial inscribed with 250th Anniversary to mark its significance. Ticking with precision thanks to the self-winding calibre A&S6003 comprised with 229 components, the finishing on the movement side is also impeccable with hand chamfered bridges and Côtes de Genève rayonnantes. Preserved in excellent overall condition, the present DSTB is one of a limited edition of 50 pieces. Alluring with great wrist presence, this is a timepiece that wearer’s will enjoy admiring as time ticks away beat by beat.
