Catalogue Essay
Combining the luxury of a fully diamond-set pink gold case with the supreme technicality of the tourbillon regulator, and adding on top of all of that a skeletonize dial with diamond-set details, the present timepiece truly is a statement watch like few others. It is part of a limited “Morita” edition. Yasumichi Morita is a Japanese star designer who was tasked with the refurbishment of AP’s boutique in Ginza, Tokyo.
The high regard Audemars Piguet themselves kept this piece in is further confirmed by the superlative plexiglass box embedded with metal beads, giving the effect of the watch swimming in rosé champagne once fit into the cradle. Morita’s signature is discreetly engraved next to the watch’s cradle.
The piece is offered by its original owner and complete of its original Guarantee booklet, instruction manual and a dazzling presentation box.
