Good To Know:

- Flying tourbillon with a smoked blue “Grande Tapisserie” dial
- 50th anniversary rotor, available only in 2022
- Full set and in "like-new" condition from the original owner

The first Royal Oak Flying Tourbillon was unveiled in 2020, featuring the remarkable cal. 2950, which is the first movement to merge a self-winding mechanism with a flying tourbillon architecture—a complication previously found in the Royal Oak Concept line. Two years later, in 2022, to celebrate the 50th anniversary of the model, Audemars Piguet transitioned from the previous “Evolutive Tapisserie” to the iconic “Grande Tapisserie” with a blue smoky design for this exquisitely crafted 26730ST variant.

To commemorate this significant milestone, a 22K white gold hollowed “50 Years” winding rotor is visible through the sapphire caseback. This unique rotor will only feature in watches produced in 2022, after which the standard rotor will return.

The present Royal Oak Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon “50th Anniversary” edition is a remarkable piece of artistry, housed in a 41 mm stainless steel case that retains the essential characteristics of a traditional Royal Oak. Offered in unworn, "like-new" condition and complete with its original 50th anniversary certificate of origin, this piece offered from the original owner is an irresistible opportunity to secure this mechanical marvel, crafted to impress even the most discerning watch collectors.

Audemars Piguet

Swiss | 1881

A specialist in the manufacture of complications since it was established in 1881, Audemars Piguet never ceases to impress with a rich history of creating bold, even audacious, timepieces underpinned by traditional watchmaking at its finest. This Le Brassus-based Swiss manufacturer is one of only two major manufacturers still owned by the founding family. Since its earliest days, AP is considered a leader in the field of minute repeaters and grande complication pocket and wristwatches. The brand is devoted to preserving the history of watchmaking in the Vallée de Joux, showcased at their superb museum in Le Brassus.

Today, the brand is best known for its Royal Oak models, a revolutionary luxury sports watch launched in 1972. Other key models include early minute repeating wristwatches, vintage chronograph wristwatches, such as the oversized reference 5020, perpetual calendar watches and the Royal Oak Offshore, first introduced in 1993.
