Catalogue Essay
Working in a unique partnership, the artist Barry Reigate and the youth of Carney’s Community, supported by Bikelife and MATCHESFASHION.COM, have created these six vibrantly expressive painted doors with proceeds being donated to Carney’s Community.
Founded in London, Carney’s Community works with disadvantaged and excluded young to keep them off the street, away from a life of crime and despair by giving them skills, disciplines and self-respect through boxing and art. The funds raised in this sale will go specifically towards a programme that will send teenagers from disadvantaged backgrounds to train in boxing.
