- Berneron's Mirage is anything but conventional. With a goal to create a new design that would not be limited by existing ideas and with his first watch, Sylvain Berneron created an immediately recognizable design language.
- The asymmetric case is superbly designed and flows organically, the dial and even the hands adopt this "wavy" shape that is both refined and avant garde. Even the attention to detail has been pushed to the limits with the oblong crown.
- The Mirage is not only a pretty face and an extremely audacious design but the movement itself takes the curvaceous shape of the case. It is constructed out of solid gold plates and bridges and has the same flair as the rest of the Mirage, with curved spokes for the balance wheel and gears as well as a curved balance bridge.
- The Mirage was originally launched in 2023 in yellow gold and white gold, the first 12 pieces in each metal being the first delivered batch (like the present example).
- At the prestigious GPHG in 2024 Berneron's Mirage won the Audacity prize, underlining the intense creativity of the piece.
