The present Breguet perpetual calendar features all the visual codes set out by the great Abraham-Louis Breguet: a delicately guilloché dial, Breguet hands, coin edge case and a perfectly legible dial, even with 7 hands.
The information on the dial is placed in a very legible and ingenious manner: the month is indicated in the centre, with the day and leap year indication on each side. The date is indicated via a subdial at 6 o’clock. The top part of the dial is reserved for non calendar indications such as the moonphases display and the power reserve.
This timepiece may have an extremely classical and traditional appearance but housed within is the automatic caliber 502 that not only is beautifully hand engraved but uses cutting edge technology as its balance spring and lever are in silicon.
