Catalogue Essay
- Introduced in 2013, the Lemania based Breguet Classique Hand-Wound 5287 features a generous size of 42.5mm diameter pink gold case. Boasting all desirable traits where one should expect on a Breguet, the timepiece features its iconic coin edged caseband, straight lugs, and multiple guilloché patterned dial.

- Adding a sporty touch to the classic Breguet DNA are the red and blue accents that makes this chronograph even more attractive. With the hands in blue and red, the tachymetre and 30 seconds inscription complements in harmony, making the ref. 5287 is highly legible and practical. The finishing touch of the dial is the unconventional fan-shaped 30 seconds sub-dial at 9 o’ clock.

- Turning over the timepiece is the Lemania 2310 based movement with beautiful architecture and free-sprung Breguet overcoil that collectors adore. The present example is complete with its full set of accessories.

Breguet

Swiss | 1775
Established in 1775 by Abraham Louis Breguet, widely considered the greatest watchmaker of all time, the storied brand continues to thrive in the modern era, creating exceptional high-end watches as the Swatch Group's premier prestige brand. Some of the most important and lasting inventions in watchmaking are attributed to Abraham Louis Breguet, including the tourbillon, shock resistance and the use of hammers and gongs employed in nearly all minute repeating watches made since.

Eighteenth and nineteenth century Breguet pocketwatches are especially sought-after by collectors, and many of them were made for the elite of European society, including Napoléon and Marie Antoinette. Key wristwatches from the twentieth century include oversized dress watches, two-register chronographs, triple calendars and Type XX aviator's chronographs made for the French military and civilians.
