In both Greek and Roman mythology, snakes represent rebirth, protection, wisdom and eternity. Ever since Elizabeth Taylor wore a snake bracelet on the set while filming ‘Cleopatra’, the Serpenti jewels became the most iconic and desirable Bulgari creations of all times. ItalianOriginally from Kalarites, Greece, Sotirios Voulgaris emigrated to Rome because of Greece's rising poverty and difficulty separating from the Ottoman Empire.
