Catalogue Essay
To celebrate Singapore’s National Day, Bulgari partnered with collector Nop Srinara and the Singapore Octo Club to create the Octo Finissimo S “Octo Club Singapore Edition”, a 30-piece limited release. This special edition reimagines the iconic Octo Finissimo through the lens of Singaporean identity, emphasizing structure, clarity, and cultural pride. Srinara regarded this limited edition model as a “love letter to the Lion City”.

Srinara envisioned capturing Singapore’s architectural elegance and modernity through the design of the watch. Rather than simply using the red and white of the national flag, Singapore’s identity is subtly woven into the dial. The small seconds subdial features design elements inspired by the crescent moon and five stars on the national flag, while the country’s geographic coordinates “1.3521° N, 103.8198° E” are discreetly inscribed between the 1 and 2 o’clock positions, adding a thoughtful design to the timepiece. Last but not least, the crown is decorated with the number 65, the country's area code as the perfect finishing touch.

The present example is offered in “brand-new” condition along with its full set of accessories. Not only does it highlight exclusivity, but also a sense of community and shared passion among collectors in Singapore, making this edition a meaningful tribute to both horology and heritage.

Bulgari

Italian
Originally from Kalarites, Greece, Sotirios Voulgaris emigrated to Rome because of Greece's rising poverty and difficulty separating from the Ottoman Empire. He set foot on Italian soil in 1880 with little money in his pocket and spent the next four years preparing what would go on to become Italy's oldest jewelry company. In 1884, Bulgari opened its doors to the Italian people with its offering of jewelry and accessories. Bulgari's style takes from traditions in Greek and Roman craftsmanship to elegantly balance volume and subtlety. Later, in the late 1960s, Bulgari bridged classicism and modernity by introducing its seductive, now-iconic Serpenti collection of snake-shaped coil bracelets and watches. It is through its meticulous combination of influences that Bulgari has garnered an international and loyal high-profile clientele, which included Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn. These Hollywood stars have immortalized the house's unique gem-adorned bracelets, necklaces and earrings in rounded forms.
