Launched in 2014, the Octo Finissimo collection made a significant impact with its inaugural release—the ultra-thin tourbillon. Since then, its sleek lines, avant-garde presence, and ultra-slim case have become instantly recognizable, garnering a loyal following among collectors worldwide.
The original Octo Finissimo Minute Repeater debuted in 2016, becoming the thinnest minute repeater in the world. Inside, it houses the remarkable BVL 362 movement, which measures just 2.23 mm in thickness while offering an impressive 60-hour power reserve. In 2018, Bulgari captivated the watch community once more with the present limited edition, the Minute Repeater Carbon. Encased in an extremely lightweight carbon case, this Octo Finissimo is a rare limited edition of just 50 pieces. Utilizing Carbon Thin Ply (CTP)—a thermo-setting epoxy resin reinforced with carbon fiber—this timepiece weighs only 47 grams.
The octagonal dial touches the bezel at select vertices, leaving openings that enhance sound delivery. Cut-outs on the indexes and small seconds counter create voids that amplify resonance, allowing chimes to emerge directly from the gongs and hammers housed within the carbon case. Through the dial perforations, form and function harmonize into sensorial artistry.
Offered in like-new condition with no signs of wear, this exceptional timepiece, numbered 29, comes complete with its full set of accessories.
Bulgari
ItalianOriginally from Kalarites, Greece, Sotirios Voulgaris emigrated to Rome because of Greece's rising poverty and difficulty separating from the Ottoman Empire. He set foot on Italian soil in 1880 with little money in his pocket and spent the next four years preparing what would go on to become Italy's oldest jewelry company.
In 1884, Bulgari opened its doors to the Italian people with its offering of jewelry and accessories. Bulgari's style takes from traditions in Greek and Roman craftsmanship to elegantly balance volume and subtlety. Later, in the late 1960s, Bulgari bridged classicism and modernity by introducing its seductive, now-iconic Serpenti collection of snake-shaped coil bracelets and watches. It is through its meticulous combination of influences that Bulgari has garnered an international and loyal high-profile clientele, which included Elizabeth Taylor and Audrey Hepburn. These Hollywood stars have immortalized the house's unique gem-adorned bracelets, necklaces and earrings in rounded forms.
