Gold and micromosaic demi-parure, circa 1875
Comprising: a brooch, decorated with a sculpted gold eagle resting on a circular polychrome tesserae plaque, depicting Julius Caesar, supporting a mosaic panel spelling ROMAE and mosaic fringes, measuring approximately 100 x 35mm, and a pair of ear clips, with mosaic plaques illustrating doves and olive branches, length approximately 52mm, unsigned, some tesserae missing.
