The P.I.P. title for the 35 pieces came about as I had moved from Soho to Stony Point, NY in '84. . . just up the "Palisade Interstate Parkway" ruminating on exits and such. The drawings are exits.
And I had just read about: the first crack a bird makes inside an egg, to come out of it's shell, is called a "pip". Maybe first show at Lorence/Monk gallery and perhaps I did feel like an artist emerging.
