Catalogue Essay
- F.P. Journe introduced the Centigraphe Souverain in 2007, which was officially discontinued in 2018 , which reinterpreted the chronograph in a technically excellent and ingenious way, quickly gaining popularity amongst collectors.

-The Centigraphe Souverain's unique appeal is created by the in-house Cal. 1506, which is made of 18K pink gold and driven by a very complex movement. The Centigraphe's hand-wound movement displays three measurements on three different subsidiary dials, each of which has a red time scale and a black tachometer scale.

- The 100th of a second hand placed in the subdial at 11 o’clock revolves around the dial in one second on a scale marked in 100th of a second. The hand on the subdial at 2 o’clock revolves once every 20 seconds and the hand on the subdial at 6 is graduated for 10 minutes.

- The chronograph is started, stopped and reset by a rocker at 2 o’clock in the case band, instead of the usual buttons on either side of the crown.

- The present timepiece comes with its F.P. Journe fitted box, outer packaging, Guarantee and additional strap.

- The present timepiece is preserved in excellent overall condition.

F.P. Journe

Swiss | 1999
Founded by watchmaker François-Paul Journe in 1999, the F.P. Journe brand is relatively young, but already is as highly regarded by collectors as many distinguished manufacturers with centuries-old heritage. In the minds of the world's savviest collectors, Journe is producing some of the finest wristwatches the market has ever seen. Mastering his craft from restoring historical timepieces, he was the first to create a wristwatch incorporating two escapements that benefit from the phenomenon of resonance — the Chronomètre à Résonance.

Key models include the Résonance, tourbillon wristwatches incorporating a remontoir and the limited edition Vagabondage series. Especially sought-after are his earliest "souscription" watches, made in 1999.
