- Released in 2000, F.P Journe's Résonance showcased impressive technical innovation and has become a cornerstone of the brand. It harnesses a once-obscure phenomenon: two movements placed in close proximity and tuned to similar frequencies naturally resonate, enhancing their resistance to external disturbances. By mastering this, Journe created the Chronomètre à Résonance, now celebrated as both a technical marvel and a benchmark of modern watchmaking and design.
- The Résonance collection is now in its fifth iteration (excluding the Pre and Souscription series). The first generation launched in 2001, the "R" series featured a brass caliber encased in a 38mm platinum or pink gold case. In 2004 the "RN" series transitioned to 18k pink gold calibers and added 38mm and 40mm case options.
- Released in 2010 to mark the model’s 10th anniversary, the "RT" series, such as the present example, introduce a redesigned dial featuring a 24-hour digital time display on the left, breaking symmetry and adding to its uncommon aesthetic. Notably, this third series is the only Résonance model with a 24-hour rotating disc on the left subdial, nicknamed the “Parking Meter” due to its resemblance to the device.
- Offered in excellent condition, this distinctive and commemorative "RT" series offers a rare opportunity to own a highly sought-after F.P. Journe masterpiece. Given the brand's appeal, the scarcity of these pieces, and their increasing value, such chances are bound to become even rarer and more exclusive over time.

F.P. Journe
Swiss | 1999Founded by watchmaker François-Paul Journe in 1999, the F.P. Journe brand is relatively young, but already is as highly regarded by collectors as many distinguished manufacturers with centuries-old heritage. In the minds of the world's savviest collectors, Journe is producing some of the finest wristwatches the market has ever seen. Mastering his craft from restoring historical timepieces, he was the first to create a wristwatch incorporating two escapements that benefit from the phenomenon of resonance — the Chronomètre à Résonance.
Key models include the Résonance, tourbillon wristwatches incorporating a remontoir and the limited edition Vagabondage series. Especially sought-after are his earliest "souscription" watches, made in 1999.
