Good To Know:

- Offered by the original owner, full set
- Extremely rare Pink-on-pink configuration

Launched in 2010 to commemorate the model’s 10th anniversary, the "RT" series, such as the stunning example, features a beautifully redesigned dial with two displays—one for 12 hours and another for 24 hours—facilitating an effortless tracking of both “home” and “local” time. Earlier versions, like this number 196-RT, showcased a 24-hour and a 12-hour display. Its unique stainless-steel framed digital display earned it the playful nickname, “Parking Meter.”

But this reference is more than just a discontinued model with an eye-catching dial—this “RT” is adorned with the sought-after Salmon dial, perfectly paired with a pink gold case, marking an extremely rare ‘pink on pink’ configuration in the auction market. With only a limited number of these exquisite pieces produced, this particular example is fresh-to-the-market, offered by its original owner who has treasured it in a private collection since 2020, just before this reference transitioned into its next exciting chapter.

F.P. Journe

Swiss | 1999

Founded by watchmaker François-Paul Journe in 1999, the F.P. Journe brand is relatively young, but already is as highly regarded by collectors as many distinguished manufacturers with centuries-old heritage. In the minds of the world's savviest collectors, Journe is producing some of the finest wristwatches the market has ever seen. Mastering his craft from restoring historical timepieces, he was the first to create a wristwatch incorporating two escapements that benefit from the phenomenon of resonance — the Chronomètre à Résonance.

Key models include the Résonance, tourbillon wristwatches incorporating a remontoir and the limited edition Vagabondage series. Especially sought-after are his earliest "souscription" watches, made in 1999.
