Assembled from repurposed panda teddy-bears, the present lots illustrate Fernando and Humberto Campana’s embrace of ersatz materials, reimagined to create vibrant works that are playful and socially conscientious. Demonstrating their inventive use of materials, the designers’ exploit the inherent properties of the stuffed pandas to create the furniture’s ornamentation and form, while combining an element of humour that has become a signature component of the Campana’s work.
