Catalogue Essay
Regarded as the “Masters of Complications”, Franck Muller has created some of the world’s most complicated wristwatches in recent times. With a surging demand for their extravagant timepieces from the 1990s to the early 2000s, the firm’s iconic curvex case has housed many of the brands most formidable timepieces.

One of the timepieces that resonates with the firm’s motto is the Imperial Tourbillon. While retaining a classic and elegant curvex-shaped case measuring 45mm in length, the wonderfully executed blue cloisonné enamel dial is further enhanced with gold painted Breguet numerals matching the hue of the case. Powering the timepiece is the cal. 6617 featuring a one-minute tourbillon regulator with a lateral level escapement made visible through the window at 6 o’clock while allowing the wearer to enjoy the intricacy of the hand-engraved movement from the sapphire caseback.
