An acclaimed designer for some of the most iconic wristwatches in recent times such as the Patek Philippe Nautilus, Audemars Piguet Royal Oak and the Vacheron Constantin Overseas. The influence of Genta in the world of horology is eminent and even further during the early 1990’s when he decided to embark on a journey to produce grand complication watches to some of the most important collectors in the world.
With immense experience and artistry in creating some of the world’s most complicated wristwatches such as the reference G.0027.7 Grande and Petit Sonnerie, which was the most complicated wristwatch in the world when it was launched with over 1000 components. Furthermore, one specific complication is often featured in Genta watches, the perpetual calendar.
The present example in platinum fitted with a baguette diamond-set bezel with perpetual calendar and minute repeating mechanism belongs to Genta’s creations during the 1990’s. With an attractive skeletonized dial, the beautiful yet sophisticated caliber 210 is displayed proudly. Flipping over to the movement side, the sapphire caseback displays a beautiful fully engraved movement with a perfect view of the hammer and gong when activated. Stamped No.1 on the case band, the present example is a possibly unique example of the reference.
