Good To Know:
- “like-new” and offered in unworn condition
- Ultra-light DLC-coated titanium case
- A titanium tourbillon cage that weigh only 0.25gram
The Girard-Perregaux three gold bridges is no doubt one of the most iconic tourbillons ever created. With over 150 years of history that sits on the pedestal amongst Lange, Pellaton and Golay, the linear symmetrical movement with pleasing aesthetic has been a favourite amongst collectors.
At Baselworld 2014, Girard-Perregaux took a brave move to reinvent the wheel, the result was the modern and daring Neo Tourbillon with Three Bridges. The present example was the DLC-coated titanium version that reshapes your idea of the icon. Ultra-light and large in size at 45mm diameter with a special sapphire crystal that flushes right against the edges of the dial, the dome glass-box crystal replaced the bezel and showcases the architecture of the dial to the absolute fullest without any distortion.
Ultra-modern with large three dimensional sandblasted black titanium bridges. The mainplate is treated with ruthenium anthracite and sandblasted, exhibiting a muted grey tone and contrasting brilliantly with the black bridges. The watch further features a 14.4mm diameter one minute tourbillon that weigh just 0.25 gram and a new winding system thanks to the calibre GP09400 crafted with 245 components.
Accompanied with an extravagant presentation box that converts to a watch box with extra slots, the watch is preserved in “like-new” unworn condition.
