“There are metaphors everywhere.” - HEATHER PHILLIPSON
PRIVATE PARTS PICTURES PRESENTS is composed of a single-channel video, A Is to D What E Is to H, inserted into an improbable seating sculpture. The seats are inhabitable, unstable fill-ins for tones and objects that seep out from the video – including car parts, body parts, a bisected bathtub, food, spud sacks, ball sacks, cardboard, and swinging garden furniture. Like entering the video, the installation constructs a 'grammar' of bodies and images which are then severed and redeployed, suspended, hand painted, retouched, and screwed together. There are metaphors everywhere.
