Catalogue Essay
The present example of a IWC Doppelchronograph was the firm’s second iteration of the original reference 3711, which was the firm’s first pilot’s split-seconds chronograph wristwatch introduced in 1992. The present features a larger case measuring 42mm in diameter with an additional soft-iron coating on the stainless steel case for enhanced protection from magnetic fields.
