• IWC Schaffhausen’s first pilot’s watch was introduced in 1936, designed for civilian aviation and known today as the “Mark IX.” The model was the beginning of a long line of exceptional tool watches, which over the decades were upgraded with better movements like the chronometer grade caliber 89, and with novel case materials like ceramic.
• The Top Gun collection was released in 2007 and inspired by the U. S. Navy’s elite Strike Fighter Tactics Instructor Program. These chronographs were built for durability and precision and today are appreciated by collectors for their classic aesthetic and durability. The Top Gun “Lake Tahoe” was released in 2022 in white ceramic, which was inspired by the Service Dress White US Navy uniforms and the winter landscape around Lake Tahoe. The white ceramic case is complemented by a black dial with black luminous hands, stainless steel pushers and crown, along with the “Top Gun” logo featured on the titanium case back.
• The present example is in nearly new condition with some light shallow wear. The watch is offered by the original owner and is complete with international warranty and presentation box.
