Catalogue Essay
The present Reverso Grande GMT in pink gold exemplifies Jaeger‑LeCoultre’s spirit of innovation. Its duoface design conceals two fully independent dials within a single case, offering the wearer both versatility and refined complication. The silvered primary dial features an elegant layout with moon‑phases beneath 1 o’clock, a small seconds register, and a bold date aperture. Reversing the case reveals a dramatic black dial, where the watch’s technical prowess is on display: an 8‑day power‑reserve indication at 1 o’clock balanced by two reciprocal sub‑counters for a second‑time‑zone (GMT function) and a 24‑hour day/night display.

Ingeniously combining two timepieces in one, the model epitomises the Reverso’s unique ability to harmonise utility, artistry, and elegance—allowing the owner to transition seamlessly between moods or occasions. Offered in hardly worn condition and complete with its full set of accessories, this Reverso Grande GMT represents an exceptional opportunity for collectors in search of a distinctive and versatile complication from one of Switzerland’s most storied manufactures.

Jaeger-LeCoultre

Swiss | 1833
Not all companies in the watchmaking field have been able to stand the test of time quite like Jaeger LeCoultre, also known as the "watchmaker's watchmaker." Founded in 1833 by Antoine LeCoultre and originally named LeCoutre, the firm provided watchmaking's top brands, such as Patek Philippe, Vacheron Constantin and Audemars Piguet, the high-grade, unfinished mechanical movements with which they completed their watches.

In the early 1900s, Cartier's watch supplier Edmond Jaeger sought out LeCoultre's help in creating the world's thinnest watches. The collaboration resulted in the creation of Cartier's earliest Tank and Santos watches, all housed with LeCoultre movements. The duo decided to merge in 1937, and the firm officially became the Jaeger-LeCoultre brand by which collectors know and adore it today. Some of the firm's most significant and important timepieces include the Reverso, the Memovox, the Atmos clock and, among modern watches, their Master Complications.
