Catalogue Essay
- With the unorthodox collaboration between Louis Erard and Alain Silberstein established in 2019 being a major success, the two came together again in 2021 to release the second collaboration of triptyque timepieces carrying essentially the same Bauhaus design language with a completely refreshed case design. Consisting of 178 examples for each model, La Semaine, Le Régulateur II and the Le Chrono Monopoussoir, collectors are in for a fun treat.
- Displayed through a whimsical layout with vibrantly colored hands and indexes, the dials are surprisingly clean with superb legibility. The cases in grade 2 microblasted titanium and grade 5 mirror polished titanium is the key feature of this fun timepiece, and is paired with the practicality and comfort of a Velcro strap.
- The Semaine features an exquisite display of the day and date indication, a playful twist to display smiley faces through the aperture at 6 o’clock. Operated by a quick set function, the different expressions reminds us that time is a flow of emotions evolving through the days of the wearer.
- The Le Régulateur is arguably the star of the show, a feature that has been repeated in other timepieces created by Louis Erard.
- Last but not least, is Le Chrono Monopoussoir with an eye-catching red pusher on the crown. Featuring the signature red circle hour and blue arrow minute hands, the chronograph hand in yellow adds further depth to the overall design.
- Presented in like-new overall condition with its full set of accessories, Le Triptyque Louis Erard x Alain Silberstein collector’s box set also comes with an USB that includes a digital artwork signed by the artist and a personal, non-fungible token linked exclusively to their triptych.
