Renowned for their bold designs and technical ingenuity, MB&F has created some of the most fascinating time telling instruments since its founding. Released in 2014, the Legacy Machine 101 is the result of a combined effort from two of the greats in the field of independent watchmaking, Kari Voutilainen and Max Busser himself. By fusing the technical ingenuity of Voutilainen as seen on the movement and Busser’s exceptional design language, the Legacy Machine 101 is one of a kind. While its case may seem traditional compared to other timepieces made by MB&F, the dial shows otherwise. Centred by a 14mm central balance wheel secured by an arched frame, the dial shows only the most essential components of a timepiece allowing the wearer to intricately witness the inner workings of the pitchfork and the balance spring in full action. Equipped with a domed crystal, the three dimensional appeal of the traditional round-shaped case is further elevated breaking its familiar boundaries. Two white lacquered dials are positioned asymmetrically on the dial indicating hours and minutes as well as a power reserve indication of up to 40 hours.
