The present Electronic Constellation with d-shaped case is a wonderful example of the style of the 1970s, which moved away from the hippie era, to a casual dress less encumbered with accessories. The watch has a bold distinctive look and similar to other top watch brands of the period, there was a move toward electronic movements as Swiss manufacturers struggled to compete with the new quartz movement coming from Japan. The f300 movement was developed by ESA and tested to mechanical chronometer standards and proved to be more accurate. These luxury watches were made in both stainless steel and 18k gold and the present example is in excellent overall condition and accompanied by the original guarantee and presentation box.
