Catalogue Essay
In the new Parmigiani Fleurier Toric collection, the brand has intentionally chosen not to reissue or remake the original line, instead preserving several core elements from Michel Parmigiani's original design. The new Toric line, launched in 2024, pays homage to the 1990s design with its knurled bezel, inspired by Doric columns and incorporating a hint of "torus" geometry.
The dial features a slightly concave design and adopts a simplified layout, complete with a new oval logo. The chevé design causes the dial to gently slope to meet the inner edge of the case, echoing the bevel where the sapphire meets the case. A hand-grained texture, inspired by antique marine chronometers and table clocks, adds a refined touch that is cleaner than earlier models. This platinum variant showcases a unique grey celadon dial color, a hue rarely seen in watchmaking.
The PF780 manually-wound movement is crafted entirely from 18k pink gold. The two barrels and the balance are visible through the 18k rose gold bridge structure, adorned with Côtes de Fleurier finishing. An elegant reinterpretation of Parmigiani’s signature collection, this watch is in excellent overall condition and comes fitted with a striking green strap that enhances the wearer's style.
