The reference 5960 is a milestone reference for Patek Philippe, as it was fitted with the brand’s first self-winding chronograph – the calibre CH 28-520, designed and manufactured completely in-house. Since its launch in 2006, the reference 5960 has undergone various configurations, first offered only in platinum with an anthracite grey dial, like the present lot, followed by a version in pink gold.
The 5960 has been lauded for its sporty feel, generous dimensions without sacrificing wearability, and innovative dial layout.
