Catalogue Essay
- Launched in 2010, the Patek Philippe reference 5726 was the first Nautilus featuring the annual calendar complication, a calendar display that accounts for the different lengths of the months and required only one annual adjustment in February. It was offered only in stainless steel, and initially with a dark grey ripped dial and integrated leather strap, before the firm released a variant fitted with a stainless steel integrated bracelet in 2012. The present example is an early variant, which is now discontinued.

- The present watch boasts a balanced symmetrical dial layout with two apertures at 12 o’clock indicating the day and month, splitting the “Patek Philippe Geneve” signature. The moon phases and 24-hour indication are displayed on a subsidiary dial adjacent to a date window indicating the date at 6 o’clock. Flip the watch over, and the finely decorated calibre 324 S QA LU 24H automatic movement is proudly displayed via a sapphire caseback.

- Blending fine complications, practical utility and sports chic, the present example from circa 2017 is offered in excellent condition, and is complete with its full set of accessories. This is a fantastic opportunity for collectors to acquire a nice specimen of this coveted reference.
