From the very first award winning ref. 5035 fitted with the calibre 315 S QA 24H in 1996, the annual calendar has been one of the most ingenious and useful complication that has been in the Patek Philippe collection for over 25 years. With the simplicity of indicating the day of the week, date and month and the delight of correction only once a year, it is an incredibly practical timepiece that can be worn everyday.

In 2006, the firm launched the vintage-inspired two-tone sector dial ref. 5396 in pink gold, followed by white gold version like the present example in 2008. Sized in a 38mm case, this white gold examples features an attractive monochromatic silvered tone sector dial with blue accents. The collection continues its brilliance by offering different displays and nuances of style, two years after its release and introduced the more classic applied indexes for markers. Inside housed a calibre that features a Spiromax balance spring and a Gyromax balance-wheel.

Presented in single-factory-sealed condition kept in a private collection for 17 years, this untouched example in white gold is the perfect understated timepiece who collectors who cherish sector designs from the brand’s heritage.

Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
