Full-Cataloguing
- Reference 5270 is the latest model in the hallowed line of perpetual calendar chronographs, inaugurated in 1941 with ref. 1518
- Compared to the usual leather-strap model, this is the most exclusive version with gold bracelet
- Spectacular, close to unworn condition
- Full set and fresh to the auction market
Reference 5270 was introduced in 2011 at Baselworld as the replacement—with an in-house movement—for the reference 5970. Both models evolved from a highly successful line of perpetual calendar chronographs, starting in 1941 with the immortal reference 1518, followed by the iconic 2499 released in 1951, and modernized with the reference 3970 from 1987 to 2004.
Fitted with a very wearable 41 mm diameter case, its symmetrical dial has a layout reminiscent of vintage models, modernized with a day-and-night indication. Applied rose gold hour markers and rose gold feuille hands perfectly match the case.
Four years after its launch, in 2015, the model was updated with an 18-karat rose gold case following a platinum-cased version released the year prior, but the present upgrade with bracelet appeared on the market only three years later, in 2018.
Never appeared on the public market before, this luxurious piece is preserved in superb condition and offered as a “full set.” It represents an opportunity to own one of the most striking and iconic timepieces in Patek Philippe's collection.
