"Patek of this era is always a delight for me, with its unusual angles and textures. The white gold bracelet was slightly too long for me and I didn't have the heart to have it modified. I hope it will find a good new home!" — Mark Cho
Born in 1967, the present Patek Philippe ref. 3503/5 cased in white gold features an understated square-shaped case and silvered sunburst dial. Ultra-thin and fits right under the cuff, the case was made by F. Baumgartner.
The highlight of the present timepiece would definitely be its integrated mesh bracelet in white gold, signed Jean-Pierre Ecoffey, one of the most respected case and bracelet makers of all times. Extremely refined and elegant, the bracelet flows almost like fabric on the wrist. These type of intricate craftsmanship from the era are not only time consuming and difficult to achieve. As time goes by, manufactures have phased this style of bracelet out of market, making the present example a truly rare find. Remaining in excellent condition with strong hallmark stamped on the caseband and clasp signed 'JPE', the watch is also stamped with the Geneva seal within the movement.
