This present example is another exquisite variation within the brand’s rare handcrafts collection, executed in the same masterful cloisonné enamel technique.
In the foreground, a large mandarin duck occupies the left-to-center area, oriented toward the left and appearing to be standing still, with a second duck gliding through the water in the background, in complementary posture. Both Mandarin Ducks feature the same elaborate golden crest, a reddish-orange beak, and golden legs. The background, like the other masterpieces in the series, also depicted with rich blue enamel canvas, finely textured overlays that delineate stylized waves.
The only set known to public auction, the present fresh-to-the-market masterpiece is kept in the collection of the original owner since 2009 and kept in a single-sealed condition. This is a incredible opportunity for enamel timepiece lovers to acquire such an attractive and exceedingly rare example.
