GOOD TO KNOW
• Preserved in virtually new, unworn condition
• Double stamped “Tiffany & Co.”
• Introduced in 2018 as the first Nautilus to feature a perpetual calendar
• Complete collectors set, consigned by the original owner

Launched in 1976, the Nautilus has evolved far beyond its origins as a luxury sports watch to become a true cultural icon and a cornerstone of Patek Philippe’s modern identity. Following the introduction of the reference 3700/1, the model has continuously reinvented itself through a wide spectrum of executions, from variations in dial color to the integration of increasingly sophisticated complications. By 2018, the Nautilus collection had expanded to encompass everything from simple date displays to chronographs and annual calendars. It was therefore a natural progression for Patek Philippe to introduce one of its most celebrated complications, the perpetual calendar, into the Nautilus line with the unveiling of the reference. In this context, the present example is made all the more compelling as 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of the Nautilus, a milestone that further underscores the enduring significance and evolution of this legendary model.

Elevating its desirability even further, the present example bears the highly coveted Tiffany and Co. signature on the dial. Fewer than a handful of Tiffany-signed reference 5740 watches have appeared publicly, underscoring its exceptional rarity. Preserved in virtually new, unworn condition and consigned by the original owner, the watch is accompanied by its full suite of original accessories, including its Tiffany blue outer box, making it a remarkable opportunity for the discerning collector.

Patek Philippe

Swiss | 1839

Since its founding in 1839, this famous Geneva-based firm has been surprising its clientele with superbly crafted timepieces fitted with watchmaking's most prestigious complications. Traditional and conservative designs are found across Patek Philippe's watches made throughout their history — the utmost in understated elegance.

Well-known for the Graves Supercomplication — a highly complicated pocket watch that was the world’s most complicated watch for 50 years — this family-owned brand has earned a reputation of excellence around the world. Patek's complicated vintage watches hold the highest number of world records for results achieved at auction compared with any other brand. For collectors, key models include the reference 1518, the world's first serially produced perpetual calendar chronograph, and its successor, the reference 2499. Other famous models include perpetual calendars such as the ref. 1526, ref. 3448 and 3450, chronographs such as the reference 130, 530 and 1463, as well as reference 1436 and 1563 split seconds chronographs. Patek is also well-known for their classically styled, time-only "Calatrava" dress watches, and the "Nautilus," an iconic luxury sports watch first introduced in 1976 as the reference 3700 that is still in production today.
