Rolex supplied various Submariner and Sea-Dweller models to COMEX featuring the patented gas escape valve to the side of the case. The present Sea-Dweller reference 16660 is considered one of the rarest variants. Presented in very good original condition the watch is complete with original blank punched guarantee and accessories. The case correctly displays both the reference number and serial number on the inside of the back and in very crisp original condition. In addition the case back is engraved with the COMEX issue number, in this instance 3011, as well as the more usual Rolex Oyster Original Gas Escape Valve inscription.

Swiss | 1905Founded in 1905 England by Hans Wilsdorf and Alfred Davis as Wilsdorf & Davis, it soon became known as the Rolex Watch Company in 1915, moving its headquarters to Geneva in 1919. Like no other company, the success of the wristwatch can be attributed to many of Rolex's innovations that made them one of the most respected and well-known of all luxury brands.
