Jean Michel Schlumberger's most celebrated works were produced during his time at Tiffany, a collaboration that began in 1956 and spanned over twenty years. During this highly creative period, Schlumberger focused on natural forms and was known for his whimsical interpretations, much adored by Duchess of Windsor and Jackie Kennedy. This brooch is one of his witty creations inspired by sea creatures, cleverly incorporating a precious black opal into an animated fish design.
