Jean Schlumberger (1907 – 1987), who began his career as a button and costume jewellery designer for Elsa Schiaparelli, remained one of the four jewellers that Tiffany & Co. allowed to sign their work. His jewels depict nature and its growing organic beauty using colourful gems and enamel, which became Schlumberger’s signature design.
