Released in 2016, the Vacheron Constantin Overseas Chronograph ref. 5500V takes on a whole new dimension for the famed model. Equipped with the firm’s first in-house chronograph cal. 5200, it marks an important milestone for the firm. Retaining rather similar aesthetics to its previous models, subtle changes such as the rising case sides allows the 42.5mm diameter case to generate an enhanced wrist presence. Executed to perfection, the brushed finish against its polished bevels provides a refined appeal at the same time showcasing the firm’s excellence in its reputable craftsmanship. Released in a total of three variations in steel, the present example with a blue dial is certainly the most iconic and the most attractive to most collectors. Offered in “like new” overall condition and complete with its full set of accessories, it is a perfect chronograph wristwatch for daily wear especially with the newly incorporated quick change bracelet for the active collector.
