GOOD TO KNOW
• Highly rare, limited-production, possibly discontinued
• Patent-pending system for high-frequency active mode and low-frequency standby mode for up to 65 days of stable timekeeping
• Virtually new condition, full set, consigned by original owner

The Vacheron Constantin Twin-Beat Perpetual Calendar, unveiled in 2019, represents one of the most forward-thinking innovations in modern watchmaking.
Developed to address a fundamental challenge of perpetual calendars, namely their tendency to stop when not worn and the difficulty to reset, the Twin Beat introduced a patented dual-frequency system. By integrating two independent oscillators within a single movement, the watch can seamlessly alternate between an Active mode (5Hz) for daily wear and a Standby mode (1.2Hz) for periods of inactivity.

This ingenious mechanism allows the power reserve to extend dramatically from approximately four days to up to 65 days, ensuring the perpetual calendar continues to track time even when left unworn for extended periods.

Housed in a 42mm platinum case, the watch maintains the classical codes of the Traditionnelle collection while subtly revealing its technical complexity through a partially openworked dial. Beneath, the manual calibre 3610 QP demonstrates Vacheron Constantin’s mastery of both innovation and finishing, bearing the prestigious Hallmark of Geneva.

Extremely few are believed to have been sold by Vacheron Constantin. Accordingly, this is the first example to appear at auction, making it a rare opportunity for collectors.

More than a complication, the Twin-Beat is a conceptual breakthrough and is offered by the original owner in virtually new, unworn condition with all of its original accessories.

Vacheron Constantin

Swiss | 1755

The world's oldest watch brand in continuous operation since its founding in 1755, Vacheron Constantin was the first watch company to manufacture movements with interchangeable parts beginning in 1839. Vacheron's watches are admired for their Latin-influenced case designs, well-balanced proportions and exquisitely finished movements of the highest quality. The Geneva-based manufacturer is known for their highly complicated masterpieces, including the King Farouk Grand Complication made in 1935, the Tour de l'Ile that was the most complicated serially produced wristwatch when introduced in 2005 and the 57260 — the world’s most complicated watch — made in 2015.

Key vintage models include minute repeating wristwatches such as the references 4261, chronographs such as the references 4178 and 6087 and the oversized Cioccolotone models such as ref. 4737. Collectors also appreciate Vacheron's Chronometer Royal pocket and wristwatches, as well as the '222,' the brand's first luxury sports watch produced from 1977 through 1984.
