Full-Cataloguing
• Numbered 16 out of a limited edition of 30 pieces
• Made for the North American market
• Virtually unworn in like new condition consigned by the original owner and complete set
• First appearance on Phillips’ platform for this limited edition piece
-Classical with restrained elegance, the now-discontinued Vacheron Constantin Traditionnelle Day-Date Power Reserve served as the entryway to the “calendar heaven” at Vacheron Constantin, a more accessible option in the world of complicated movements such as perpetual calendars, chronographs, and tourbillons.
-The current piece is an even more special edition of the discontinued reference, a 30-piece limited edition that was only released for the North American market in 2016. Unlike its counterparts, this model comes with a striking combination of a black guilloche dial with a pink gold case.
-The dial further promotes the novelty of this limited edition, highlighting the intricacies of the guilloché technique, or engine-turned dial, using a rose engine, which mounts the dial on the lathe, brought into contact with the cutting head, and then rotated by a hand-crank to create a consistent pattern. This dial shows a wave pattern, highlighting the area surrounding the day-date and power reserve complications.
Vacheron Constantin
Swiss | 1755The world's oldest watch brand in continuous operation since its founding in 1755, Vacheron Constantin was the first watch company to manufacture movements with interchangeable parts beginning in 1839. Vacheron's watches are admired for their Latin-influenced case designs, well-balanced proportions and exquisitely finished movements of the highest quality. The Geneva-based manufacturer is known for their highly complicated masterpieces, including the King Farouk Grand Complication made in 1935, the Tour de l'Ile that was the most complicated serially produced wristwatch when introduced in 2005 and the 57260 — the world’s most complicated watch — made in 2015.
Key vintage models include minute repeating wristwatches such as the references 4261, chronographs such as the references 4178 and 6087 and the oversized Cioccolotone models such as ref. 4737. Collectors also appreciate Vacheron's Chronometer Royal pocket and wristwatches, as well as the '222,' the brand's first luxury sports watch produced from 1977 through 1984.
