Good To Know:
- Power reserve with zero reset mechanism
- One of only 25 pieces made in stainless steel
- Serviced by the brand in 2026
It is quite extraordinary to say that Rexhep Rexhepi today needs no introduction. In his late 30s, he heads a brand that is just a dozen years old. The list of his clients includes some of the world’s most demanding and scholarly collectors, his order books are full, waiting times are counted in years, and he has won numerous prestigious awards.
However, he is far from an overnight wonder boy, and his success was built on hard work and perseverance. Rexhepi arrived from Kosovo to Geneva at age 12. Two years later, he joined Patek Philippe as an apprentice, then became a full-time watchmaker. He then joined Renaud & Papi (previously BNP Concept), a maker of high-end watch movements, where his expertise and talent put him at the head of a team of 10 watchmakers. He later left for F.P. Journe. His experience there was eye-opening and pushed him to want to create his own watches. He subsequently left Journe with the blessing of his mentor.
In 2012, he created Akrivia, inspired by the Greek word for precision. With the tourbillon as his main focus, he immediately established a very personal design language with a futuristic-looking case—a fine mix of round, oval, and tonneau hand-hammered dials, symmetrical movement architecture, and superlative, eye-watering movements with manual finishing pushed to the extreme.
The AK-06 captures everything collectors admire about Akrivia and its founder Rexhep Rexhepi. Launched in 2017, the model marked a decisive shift toward chronometric purity and restrained design, trading exuberance for discipline. Its hand wound calibre beautifully exposed on the dial side reveals a perfectly symmetrical architecture, complete with zero-reset seconds and a power-reserve indication seamlessly integrated into the movement’s geometry. With its compact proportions and obsessive finishing, the AK-06 is less about spectacle and more about substance, a connoisseur’s chronometer in the truest sense.
The AK-06 was made in two variations of 25 pieces each: titanium with a yellow gold back plate, and stainless steel with a dark grey movement plate.
The present AK-06 was serviced in 2026, and the new buyer will receive a certificate bearing their name.
