Launched in 1977 and in production until 1985 (but still available until 2002) reference 4100 is also called the Royal Oak III as it was the third model launched after the original reference 5402 and reference 8638.

With a more restrained 35mm diameter, this reference was the first Royal Oak to be equipped with centre seconds, it was available in steel, yellow gold, white gold and two-tone versions. The majority of the models were equipped with calibre 2123, but some of the later creations were powered by calibre 2125 and others by calibre 2124. From 1982 onwards, at least 96 watches had their mechanical calibre replaced by quartz calibre 2506, which was originally fitted in at least 36 watches.

This watch stands out of normal production thanks to the elegant and highly prized Khanjar emblem which stands just below the brand’s logo, at 12 o'clock. Very interestingly, we see that the name of the brand and the inscription “Automatic” have been moved down to 6 o'clock to make room for the logo of the Sultanate of Oman. The watch is presented today in its original condition, it has most certainly never been polished and the patina that the yellow gold bezel has developed attests to the fact that it has not been worn for a long period of time. Produced in 1978, this steel and yellow gold watch transmits the aesthetic codes of the 80s. It represents a rare opportunity to own a piece typical of its generation, underlining the importance on this model for the greatest collectors.
