完整圖錄內容
- The dial of the Type XX adheres to the traditional white-on-black color scheme commonly found in pilot's watches, with highly legible Arabic numerals and uniformly aged lumes that exude an attractive hue. Unlike its sister reference, the "Transatlantique" model, the current "Aéronavale" variant pays closer homage to the original Type 20 by omitting the date function, resulting in a cleaner aesthetic.
- Among the reference 3800 watches, the earliest production series boasts a water resistance of 200 meters, a rare unidirectional bezel, and a crown adorned with a solid gold cap, all of which are featured in this timepiece.
- Powering the watch is the Lemania based Breguet calibre 582, an automatic flyback chronograph movement that offers a 48-hour power reserve. This particular timepiece presents a remarkable opportunity to own a piece of Breguet's military history, showcasing a classic design from the 1950s that should not be overlooked.
Breguet
Swiss | 1775Established in 1775 by Abraham Louis Breguet, widely considered the greatest watchmaker of all time, the storied brand continues to thrive in the modern era, creating exceptional high-end watches as the Swatch Group's premier prestige brand. Some of the most important and lasting inventions in watchmaking are attributed to Abraham Louis Breguet, including the tourbillon, shock resistance and the use of hammers and gongs employed in nearly all minute repeating watches made since.
Eighteenth and nineteenth century Breguet pocketwatches are especially sought-after by collectors, and many of them were made for the elite of European society, including Napoléon and Marie Antoinette. Key wristwatches from the twentieth century include oversized dress watches, two-register chronographs, triple calendars and Type XX aviator's chronographs made for the French military and civilians.
