Duograph

百年靈,「Duograph」型號766,精細罕有,精鋼追針計時腕錶,備測速刻度錶盤,約1944年代製

Breitling’s Duograph split-seconds chronograph is amongst the rarest and desirable models by the brand. First released in the 1940s, the Duograph was manufactured in stainless steel, yellow and pink gold and was the perfect tool for intermediate timing and for navigational purposes. Split-seconds timing watches are popular amongst collectors for its complicated movement and classic design.

The present stainless steel Duograph is in excellent overall condition with an unpolished case and clean and original dial. The symmetry of the case is well balanced with faceted lugs and the split-chronograph operated through the crown. Research with the manufacturer indicates this example is a very early example, dating to mid 1944 and considered to be from the first batch produced. With the growing demand for rare and unusual vintage timepieces, the Duograph is a wonder watch of horological history and an important complication that should be in every collection.

Breitling

Swiss | 1884

The firm started by Leon Breitling in 1884 is best known for its technical aviation and oceanic watches. Today, all models are outfitted with certified chronometer movements, used for accurate timing. Early aviation pioneers in specialized chronograph timepieces, Breitling introduced the circular slide rule to watches in the 1940s for use by pilots. The firm’s most iconic chronograph, the Navitimer, was introduced in 1954 and continues to be manufactured today. Another key model is the Duograph, a split-seconds chronograph that was Breitling's most prestigious wristwatch during the 1940s through '60s. Their watches are built on their reputation for precision and sturdiness.
