The present watch displays a marvelous combination of complications housed with within the iconic Ballon Bleu case. It not only displays an open work regulator-style dial, it even has a flying tourbillon at 6 o'clock, along with a dual time zone indication. The two hour indicators "jump", which minimizes time loss, and the second time zone is adjusted via a pusher at 10 o'clock.
While the manufacture today has scaled back on its complicated timepieces, Cartier had imagined a number of models during this period that combined their classic design codes with daring horological designs. The present timepiece is furthermore part of a limited edition series produced in 50 examples and is preserved in excellent condition. It is furthermore accompanied by all its original accessories such as its Cartier Certificate dated September 10, 2013, additional Certificate confirming the present watch is numbered 18/50, product literature, presentation box and outer packaging.

Founded one year prior by Louis-Francois Cartier, the house of Cartier was one of the first to use platinum in jewelry making.
