During the 1960s, Audemars Piguet and Jaeger LeCoultre made movements for the iconic jewelry company, Cartier, which sourced the best quality movements to meet their highest quality standards.
Known for their elegant designs, this stunning yellow gold Cartier variation of the Baignoire is rarely ever seen with this kind of oversized accentuated style of the case. Founded one year prior by Louis-Francois Cartier, the house of Cartier was one of the first to use platinum in jewelry making. This incredibly expensive material became the stepping-stone for Cartier to experiment in form, mechanisms and attitude.
